Cascadialink Terms of Service for Starlink Equipment Rental
- Payment
Customer agrees to pay all rental charges, a security deposit, and any applicable shipping charges in advance. - Customer Responsibility for Equipment
Customer agrees to accept full responsibility for any damage to or loss of the equipment, including the protective case, during the rental period. Customer agrees to cover the repair or replacement cost for any equipment damaged or not returned to Cascadialink. These charges may exceed the security deposit. If no security deposit was collected, or the replacement cost exceeds the security deposit, customer agrees that their card may be charged for replacement cost.
Replacement Costs for Equipment:- Starlink Dish (gen 2): $300
- Starlink Mini: $500
- 15-meter Cable: $50
- Power Cord: $10
- Router (Gen 2 only): $200
- Case: $60
- Return of Equipment
Customer agrees to return all equipment by the agreed-upon return date. Please contact CascadiaLink if you wish to extend your rental. Extending the rental is less expensive than paying a penalty for late return. Equipment returned after the agreed-upon return date will incur a $50/day penalty per dish and $15/day per battery. Customer understands that this will be charged to their credit card. - Liability and Indemnification
Customer agrees to hold harmless and indemnify Cascadialink from any claims, losses, or damages arising from the use of the rented equipment. - Service Limitations
Customer understands that while Starlink generally provides connectivity in areas with a clear view of the sky, Cascadialink cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or 100% uptime. In cases of network interruptions or other service issues, Cascadialink’s liability is limited to the cost of the rental. - Prohibited Use
Customer agrees not to use the Starlink equipment for any illegal activities, including but not limited to copyright infringement. - Equipment Tracking
Customer understands that a tracking device may be included inside the case to assist in the recovery of lost or stolen equipment. Customers may request that the tracking device be removed before rental. - Testing of Starlink
We recommend you set up the Starlink dish and test before leaving an area of phone service in case of any issues. Please contact CascadiaLink for help if you have any issues.
